The Web Developer will design, code, and maintain websites and web applications, ensuring they meet client specification and functionality requirements. They will also work closely with team members and client to ensure preferences and requirements are achieved. Reports to AI and Digital Production Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but not limited to:
• Meet with clients to understand their needs, design preferences, and functionality requirements.
• Write code using programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to create both the front-end and back-end of websites.
• Design user interfaces, navigation menus, and wireframes to enhance user experience.
• Integrate media, including graphics, audio, and video, into websites.
• Test websites to ensure code accuracy and functionality.
• Optimize websites for security, speed, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance and user experience.
• Maintain websites by updating content and making edits as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design, or a related field OR three years of relevant work experience.
Required Experience:
• At least 3 years’ of relevant work experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design, or a related field.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of web development principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery of work product.
• Ability to travel and drive own or other vehicle to various locations as needed.
• Ability to carry up to 20 pounds on an as needed basis.
Preferred Experience:
• Familiarity with Frontend Frameworks.
• Basic Backend Knowledge – Understanding how websites handle data using Node.js, Python, PHP, or Ruby on Rails is helpful. Experience with databases like MySQL or MongoDB is a bonus.
• Experience with Version Control – Knowing how to use Git and GitHub to track changes.
• Understanding of UI/UX Best Practices – A good sense of design, accessibility, and responsive layouts.
• Exposure to Cloud & Deployment Tools – While not required, some familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or basic deployment tools.
