Duties and Responsibilities: 

65% Manages transferability of college credits applying discretion in the application of policies and procedures. Receives and reviews transfer transcripts. Verifies authenticity of transcripts, accreditation status, calendar system, and credit units of transfer institution. Reviews grade for each course on transcripts and applies Delgado's transfer of credit policies. Loads courses from transcripts in ERP. Verifies transfer totals listed on transcripts and handles discrepancies. Performs course articulation and verifies that it is accurate and complete. Determines course description and sends it to the Deans or designee for course equivalency and approval when course equivalency does not exist in ERP. Builds course equivalency in ERP for articulation.

20% Determines accreditation and transfer credits based on criteria as dictated by College policy, Louisiana Community and Technical College System rules, and Louisiana Board of Regents regulations. Processes and determines transfer credit equivalencies for US Military and Foreign transcripts. Downloads courses from LCTCS institutions in Banner, verifies courses and corrects errors.

10% Processes transfer credit error reports. Maintains a list of all non-accredited higher education institutions. Contacts Academic Schools to resolve transfer credit issues.

5% Participates in departmental and college-wide meetings and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of work related experience. 

Required Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working in Higher Education Academic or Student Affairs. Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to work independently. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple requests and handle them in an efficient and timely manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and commitment to customer service and teamwork. Ability to thoroughly understand and abide by federal and college guidelines regarding student record confidentiality requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in the use of computers; knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Doc, Student Information Systems and database applications; ability to search and obtain information from the internet.

Preferred Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working in a Registrar's Office.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with Ellucian Banner 9.
