Duties and Responsibilities:
25%-Oversee the judicial affairs process, including coordinating judicial affairs hearings, training hearing officers, and managing appeal procedures. Serve on Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT). Coordinate with Title IX, Academic Affairs, Public Safety, and other stakeholders to address complex cases and at-risk student behavior. Assist the Title IX Coordinator and Student Complaint process as needed. Maintain fairness and consistency in adjudication. Participate in ongoing professional development and remain current with best practices in student conduct and judicial affairs.
25%-Receive, review and maintain a record of information about concerns regarding individual behavior that is potentially harmful and/or disruptive to the College community. Maintain accurate records in conduct management systems (e.g., Maxient). Prepare semester and annual reports on student conduct trends and outcomes for institutional reporting.
20%-Develop and deliver educational programming on student accountability, civility, and behavioral expectations. Lead workshops on conflict resolution and restorative practices.
10%-Monitor the Delgado App on behalf of Student Affairs and respond as appropriate. Collaborate with Campus Police and other departments as appropriate.
10%-Collaborate with campus departments to ensure compliance with federal and state mandates, including but not limited to the Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program, Save Act, Stop Campus Hazing Act, and VAWA.
5%-Review and revise the Student Code of Conduct and related disciplinary procedures. Ensure policies align with legal guidance and institutional values. Serve on policy review committees.
5%-Other duties assigned by Supervisor
Required Education: 8-10 years of work related experience or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or institution.
Required Experience: 3-5 years of experience in student conduct, student affairs or related area.
Master’s degree can substitute for minimum work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Strong knowledge of FERPA, Cleary, Title IX, and student conduct best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to make small and large group presentations
• Computer literate and proficient in all Microsoft products
• Demonstrate care and concern for Delgado’s diverse student population
Required Licenses or Certifications: N/A
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree
Preferred Experience: Five (5) years higher education experience in Student Affairs, preferably Student Life. Experience working in a higher education ERP system (preferably Banner).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to create and implement data driven plans that meet desired objective and goals.
High Level of Fluency in Spanish or other foreign language.
