Duties and Responsibilities:
10%
• Provides general assistance to students who have concerns and/or questions; acts as a point of contact for students with issues of harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct and reports cases to the Campus Title IX Coordinator for investigation

• Collaborates with Campus staff and faculty to address and resolve student behavioral issues; refers students to counselors as necessary; serves as liaison between students, administration, and faculty in response to grievances initiated by either students, administration, or faculty

• Oversees the administrative and reporting software (Maxient) used by faculty, staff, and students; collects data and provides Maxient reports as well as other appropriate reports to the AVCSD

• Supervises, provides appropriate professional development and training, and evaluates the following staff: Associate Dean of Students, Director of Student Life, Assistant Director of Student Life, and other support staff (10%)

• Responsible for enforcing the student code of conduct, documenting student conduct reports, meetings, investigations, and disciplinary issues; and, in accordance with policy, renders decisions on student appeals

• Remains up-to-date with state and federal legislation regarding student mattes, and ensures that the college's policies and procedures are congruent with the legislation; collaborates with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Development on the development and review of policies directly related to students

• Responsible for the production of campus publications specific to student needs and services such as the Student Handbook and Student Code of Conduct and contributes to the development of the academic calendar, college catalog, and other printed material related to students

• Coordinates commencement, award presentations and other special events related to students; collaborates with Enrollment Management and Student Services on Student Orientation Programs

• Serves on college administrative teams and other designated ad hoc, college standing committees as well as system-level committees; serves as an administrative liaison at national, state, and local meetings on student matters

• Performs other duties as assigned
Required Education: • Master's degree in Education Administration, Student Affairs, Student Services, Criminal Justice, Sociology or related fields
Required Experience: • 3 years-experience in educational administration, education, or related field

Preferred Education: • PhD in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related educational background
Preferred Experience: • Title IX training and experience, conflict management and mediation
