Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership 20%
· Participates as an active colleague and supportive peer member of the College’s executive committee; provides the leadership, vision, and administrative management for workforce and continuing education through SOLACC’s Everyday Excellence.
· Encourages the high performance and excellence of faculty and staff within the division and the delivery of high-quality workforce programs, trainings, and continuing education programs.
· Provides leadership in hiring, developing, and promoting excellent faculty and staff who are committed to the College’s pillars of student success, people, sustainability, and community.
· Provides leadership in the design, development, strategy, implementation, and assessment of goals, objectives, and activities related to workforce and economic development, non-credit program offerings and trainings, and Adult Education (WorkReady U).
· Leads and provides continuous structure for a division that will be creative and productive in meeting the current and projected needs for the Acadiana labor force.
· Develops and implements strategic planning activities in support of the College’s strategic plan.
Work Habits 20%
· Provides overall management of operating budgets for the division and ensures control and approval of expenditures and reporting as required.
· Conducts business enterprise planning and implementation.
· Seeks and manages alternate funding sources, which may include grants, donations/in-kinds, contracts, or self-supporting mechanisms.
· Provides oversight for planning, production, and publication of educational and marketing materials.
· Identifies current and relevant technologies to enhance training and operations.
· Conducts annual assessment of programs and incorporates the outcomes to promote the advancement of the division.
· Conducts workforce research and utilizes regional data to create viable programs that address workforce challenges and build-expand programs to meet emerging workforce needs.
· Increase enrollment and students served in support of Everyday Excellence scorecards and LCTCS metrics.

· Predictable and reliable attendance is required to provide consistency and continuity of educational and business services.

· Formulates and interprets policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with applicable program, local, State, and Federal laws, and other established criteria, along with ensuring student success.
Institutional Support 20%
· Provides fiscal oversight and ensures responsible management of budgets, grants, contracts, and other financial obligations within the division. Reviews, negotiates, and manages agreements in alignment with institutional priorities and compliance standards, with final approval vested in the Chancellor/Appointing Authority.
· Actively seeks and supports alternative funding opportunities to advance the mission and long-term sustainability of SoLAcc.
· Builds and manages program lines funded by multi-million-dollar grants.
· Devises cutting-edge educational credit, concurrent Adult Education career pathway opportunities, and non-credit and training programs in collaboration with internal and external groups in order to provide a well-trained workforce. These include, but are not limited to, Maritime and Continuing Education, Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, Apprenticeships & Customized Trainings, and Advanced Manufacturing.
· Collaborates with the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic & Student Affairs to create and maintain pathways between non-credit and credit instruction.
· Integrates programs to satisfy expanding and future labor force needs, which includes “cross walks” of transfer to non-transfer.
Team Relations 20%
· Serves on appropriate business and industry-related boards, taskforces, and committees.
· Works as appropriate with LCTCS workforce development and Adult Education committees, taskforces, and initiatives.
· Develops new partnerships with business, industry, and government entities.
· “Franchises” Corporate College programs to other colleges and/or has Corporate College be the service provider to other colleges.
· Creates and operates strategic alliances with economic development entities, corporations, and community groups, etc.
· Collaborates with K-12 partners, particularly secondary institutions, to create, among other things, relevant dual enrollment pathways.
· Assists the Chancellor in cultivating and maintaining existing partnerships within their respective division.
· Performs additional duties and special projects assigned by the Chancellor.
Required Education:
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Required Experience:
• Seven (7) years of administrative or managerial experience in corporate or higher education settings.
• Demonstrated track record of identifying and engaging key strategic external partners (individual or institutional) for the purposes of building effective collaborative initiatives to deliver programs, curriculum, industry partnerships, etc.; ability to pull together many different constituencies, from both the public and private sectors.
• Demonstrated track record for writing, receiving, and managing multi-million-dollar grants.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise a team of professional staff, as well as develop and manage operational budgets and business contracts.
• Demonstrated track record for increased ROI of non-credit program offerings and trainings.
• Experience reporting directly to or working with an institutional CEO.
• High energy with the ability to lead teams toward successful collaboration in the development of workforce training that will meet the present and future needs of the region's economic development and corporate communities.
• Possess highly developed analytical skills, writing and presentation skills, and communication skills that allow for effective communication with stakeholders.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
Valid, unencumbered driver's license
Preferred Education:
Doctorate degree from an accredited institution
