Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop, prepare, and deliver engaging instructional content in the areas of:
o OSHA safety standards (10/30 Hour)
o General industry regulations and best practices
o Workplace leadership, supervision, and communication
• Tailor training to meet the specific operational and compliance needs of local business and industry partners
• Use hands-on training, real-world scenarios, and adult learning principles to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development
• Maintain detailed training records, including attendance, assessments, and course evaluations in compliance with reporting requirements
• Coordinate with LDCC’s Workforce Development team and employer partners to schedule classes and confirm logistics
• Provide progress reports and feedback to LDCC and participating employer partners
• Assist in curriculum updates and development of new training modules as needed
Required Education:
• Associate degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in general industry, manufacturing, or safety-related roles
• Experience teaching or training adults in a professional or educational setting
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• OSHA 10/30 Authorized Trainer (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with IWTP or similar workforce training programs
• Certifications in Leadership Development (e.g., Situational Leadership, DISC, or similar)
• NCCER certification or experience in skilled trades instruction
Working Conditions:
• Instruction may be delivered on-site at business and industry locations across Northeast Louisiana or at LDCC campuses
• Must be able to travel locally as needed
• May require evening or weekend availability depending on employer scheduling
