Salary: Start of $14.75 per hour, based on education and experience

Duties and Responsibilities: These are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation(s). Other reasonable duties may be assigned.
• Work alongside the Dual Enrollment Coordinator to develop, engage and nurture prospective dual enrollment students who engage with the College.
• Assist with contacting prospective high school students who wish to enroll for dual credit, collecting dual enrollment applications, and assisting with the review of applications, and monitoring attendance and grade progress of the students throughout the semester.
• Maintain knowledge of all program requirements, class prerequisites and test score requirements. Must remain up to date on all campus services, policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent SOWELA in a professional and positive manner.
• Provide guidance to high school staff and prospective students and their parents to explain the application process, complex program requirements, and SOWELA policies and procedures.
• Monitor the Dual Enrollment main phone line, group email, and sign-in sheets for on-campus high school students.
• Provide a wide variety of administrative and technical support to the Dual Enrollment office by performing routine duties, such as: scheduling appointments, organizing STEPS student documents and folders, data entry using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) or the Banner student information system.
• Work collaboratively with the Registrar’s Office staff to assist students in the enrollment process.
• Assist with the development, planning, and execution of dual enrollment recruitment events and information/orientation sessions, high school parent nights, etc.
• Coordinate campus tours and recruiting events with the Recruitment Office for both prospective high school students who will attend class on the SOWELA campus and all other prospective students.
• Represent the College at events such as: high school visits, career day, college fairs, etc.
• Assist with recruitment, outreach, and processing for Dual Enrollment, STEPS, and STAIRS initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Dual Enrollment Coordinator, the Director of Recruitment or the Registrar.
• Other duties as deemed necessary.

Required Education: • Associate degree.

Required Experience: • One year experience working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented office environment or customer service position in a professional environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse population.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with high schools and community agencies.
• Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment and networked personal computers.
• Proficiency in or ability to become proficient in a variety of software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations needed to complete job tasks.
• Skilled at planning, organizing, and prioritizing job duties to meet deadlines.
• Maintaining interpersonal professional working relationship at all levels – students, peers, and Executives.

Preferred Experience: • Higher education experience, especially in the area of admissions, records, recruitment, or any other enrollment services related experience.
