Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Program Administration & Compliance
a. Manage the administration of both the Campus-Based Aid and TOPS programs, including budgeting and fund allocation.
b. Maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for both programs.
c. Monitor the performance of the Federal Work-Study and TOPS programs, identifying areas for improvement or adjustment.
d. Conduct audits of student work-study placements and TOPS awards to ensure compliance with institutional policies and government regulations.
e. Ensure that all necessary documentation is submitted and verified in a timely manner.
f. Address any discrepancies or compliance issues, providing solutions and corrective action plans.
g. Run Return of Title IV (R2T4) processes and review reports for accuracy in Banner and COD; resolve discrepancies if needed.
h. Manage suspense and duplicate files.
i. Prepare and submit necessary reports for federal and state agencies.
2. Collaboration, Training & Support
a. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to maintain accurate records for both programs.
b. Provide training and support to staff on compliance requirements for Campus-Based Aid and TOPS.
3. Other Duties as Assigned
a. Participate in professional organizations, conferences, and continuous learning in financial aid.
b. Serve on college committees, contribute to institutional planning, and support special projects as assigned by senior leadership.
c. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 5 years of experience in federal and state regulations governing student financial aid, including Title IV grants, and loan programs.
• The Individual must have exceptional interpersonal skills for working with a diverse student population. Experience with working in an integrated student information system, preferably Banner.
• This position requires exceptional organizational skills, and oral/communication skills, strong leadership, compliance, and communication skills. The ability to work accurately and prioritize deadlines.
