Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Operational Oversight
a. Supervise day-to-day financial aid processing (ISIR imports, verification, awarding, disbursements, and corrections).
b. Monitor file completion and disbursement timelines.
c. Ensure all operations comply with Title IV federal regulations, state programs, and institutional policies.
d. Maintain proper documentation for audit trails.
e. Manage dependency overrides and special circumstance requests.
f. Administer and coordinate financial aid loan programs (e.g., Federal Direct Subsidized, Unsubsidized, Parent PLUS, and Alternative Loans).
g. Maintain knowledge of loan eligibility and processing requirements, including loan limits, reallocation process, disbursement requirements, deferment and forbearance process, loan consolidation, default prevention, and loan forgiveness programs.
h. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
2. Compliance & Reporting
a. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficiency and compliance.
b. Coordinate audit and program review preparation.
c. Assist with preparation and submission of required reports (e.g., FISAP, Pell reconciliation, and enrollment reporting).
d. Serve on Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) committee.
e. Manage fraud investigations.
3. Team Leadership & Training
a. Provide training and cross-training to ensure team coverage and consistency.
b. Promote professional development and regulatory awareness.
c. Support front-line staff in resolving complex student cases.
4. Customer Service
a. Ensure timely responses to student and parent inquiries.
5. Technical & System Proficiency
a. Proficiency with student information systems and federal and state portals (e.g., COD, NSLDS, FAFSA, LOSFA Portal).
6. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
a. Deep knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations and compliance.
b. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
c. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
d. Ability to manage multiple deadlines with precision.
7. Other Duties
a. Participate in professional organizations, conferences, and continuous learning in financial aid.
b. Serve on college committees, contribute to institutional planning, and support special projects as assigned by senior leadership.
c. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Required Education: 

• Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 5 years of experience in federal and state regulations governing student financial aid, including Title IV grants, and loan programs.
• The Individual must have exceptional interpersonal skills for working with a diverse student population. Experience with working in an integrated student information system, preferably Banner.
• This position requires exceptional organizational skills, and oral/communication skills, strong leadership, compliance, and communication skills. The ability to work accurately and prioritize deadlines
