Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Plan, develop, and deliver high-quality instruction using effective teaching strategies and instructional materials that support student learning, accommodate diverse learning styles. and promote achievement of course outcomes.
• Teach classes in various instructional formats, including day, evening, weekend, hybrid, online, and/or clinical settings, as assigned.
• Maintain regular office hours and accurate records related to attendance, grading and student progress.
• Respond promptly and professionally to student, faculty, staff and community inquiries.
• Attend and actively participate in faculty meetings, departmental meetings, and institutional activities.
• Develop, review, and revise curriculum to ensure compliance with institutional, state, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with student assessment, advising, placement, and progression within academic programs.
• Develop, assess, and evaluate student learning outcomes; utilize assessment data to continuously improve curriculum, instruction and program effectiveness.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing professional development, continuing education, and discipline-specific training.
• Engage in continuous self-evaluation and instructional improvement to enhance teaching effectiveness and student success.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable professional standards, state regulations, accreditation requirements and industry expectations.
• Participate in institutional activities including registration, orientation, commencement, faculty selection and other college-wide initiatives.
• Foster positive relationships with business, industry, healthcare partners, and the community to support workforce development and advance the mission of the College.
• Participate in activities necessary to maintain programmatic and institutional accreditation.
• Contribute to departmental planning, strategic initiatives, budgeting, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen clinical affiliation agreements, articulation agreements, and community partnerships.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean or appropriate administrator.

Required Education: Applicants must possess a current Louisiana Practical Nurse (PN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license, hold a Louisiana Department of Health (LOH) Train-the-Trainer certification, and have a minimum of four years of full-time professional experience, or the equivalent, in a field related to the occupational program.
