Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Proactive Academic & Retention Coaching: Serve as a dedicated student success coach, utilizing predictive data and institutional early-alert systems to identify, reach out to, and intervene with low-performing or at-risk students in CTE programs.
• Comprehensive Academic Planning: Advise and assist students with proactive registration, course sequencing, pathway planning, and placement, ensuring alignment with both academic graduation requirements and career objectives.
• Individualized Support Coordination: Coordinate academic-related decisions and interventions for students with documented specialized learning needs, accommodations, or those facing economic barriers, collaborating directly with disability services and faculty.
• Guided Pathways & Retention Programming: Develop, implement, and support targeted retention activities, study groups, and academic success workshops for cohort students to build peer networks, increase campus engagement, and boost persistence.
• Seamless Onboarding & Transition Management: Design and deliver comprehensive materials and sessions for orientation, onboarding, and graduation/transfer processes, ensuring students understand their academic roadmap from day one.
• CTE Pathway Collaboration: Serve as an active, integrated stakeholder within all pertinent CTE pathways, Adult Education (HiSET) transitions, and workforce training programs to ensure clear academic articulation.
• Data-Driven Tracking & Case Management: Maintain meticulous student records, engagement data, and case-management notes using modern campus technology to track progress, measure retention initiatives, and generate compliance reports for federal funding.
• Strategic Educational Outreach: Conduct targeted outreach at regional high schools, community fairs, and industry events to provide clear, accessible information on vocational, technical, and academic career pathways.
• Standards of Practice: Requires proactive communication, timely and accurate service to internal and external partners, accountability for follow-up and follow-through, and a continuous improvement mindset aligned with LDCC's Standards of Practice for excellence, collaboration, and service.
• Continuous Policy & Articulation Alignment: Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of college policies, academic prerequisites, and transfer articulation agreements with regional secondary and post-secondary institutions.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor that contribute to the efficiency, development, and overall academic success goals of the enrollment management division and funded pathways

Required Education: • Must be a professional, creative, and resourceful self-starter with a customer service orientation and a willingness to work with a diverse population.
• Associates Degree or higher in Education or Counseling or related human services field.
• Previous experience in Student Services a plus.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Basic technical skills
