Duties and Responsibilities: 

Work Habits: 30%
• Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors in person, by phone, email, and other communication methods.
• Provide individualized guidance regarding enrollment, registration, academic planning, program options, financial aid resources, transfer opportunities, and student support services.
• Assist students in navigating College systems, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor student progress and identify barriers that may impact academic achievement, persistence, retention, or completion.
• Maintain awareness of academic deadlines, registration periods, financial aid requirements, and program start dates and communicate those deadlines to students.
• Assist students with understanding institutional policies and procedures related to satisfactory academic progress and program completion.
• Document student interactions, referrals, interventions, and follow-up activities using College-approved systems and software.
• Conduct outreach to students through phone, email, text messaging, and other communication methods to support retention and student success initiatives.
• Assist with orientation programs, workshops, resource fairs, student success initiatives, and outreach events.
• Maintain student records, reports, documentation, and related information in accordance with institutional requirements.
• Support campus safety, visitor management, incident reporting, and emergency response activities as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Institutional Support: 25%
• Assist with implementation of student success, retention, persistence, and completion initiatives.
• Support campus workshops, orientations, resource fairs, outreach programs, and student engagement activities.
• Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Student Engagement, Academic Affairs, and other departments to improve student outcomes.
• Assist with collection, tracking, and reporting of student success data and related metrics.
• Support campus emergency preparedness, safety initiatives, and operational continuity efforts as assigned.
• Assist with audits, compliance reviews, assessments, and program evaluations.
• Identify barriers to student success and communicate recommendations for process improvement.
• Support implementation of institutional policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives related to student success.

Team Relations: 25%
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, administrators, community partners, and campus stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Student Engagement, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, Facilities, Information Technology, and other departments to support student success.
• Serve as a campus resource by directing students and stakeholders to appropriate services and resources.
• Communicate student concerns, service needs, and operational issues through appropriate channels.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and collaborative problem-solving efforts.
• Assist other departments and campus operations as needed to support institutional priorities.
• Promote teamwork, communication, and collaboration throughout the College.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Associates Degree or 3 years of directly related experience.
• One Year of experience in Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, Admissions, Recruitment, or Customer Service, or as an Administrative Assistant/Coordinator

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to utilize coaching, advising, and student engagement techniques to identify student needs, encourage persistence, remove barriers to success, and connect students with appropriate resources and support services.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders through verbal, written, and electronic communication methods.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a student-centered and solutions-oriented approach.
• Ability to establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to explain complex information, policies, procedures, and processes in a clear and understandable manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive student information in compliance with FERPA and institutional policies.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects, responsibilities, deadlines, and interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when responding to student concerns and sensitive situations.
• Ability to analyze information, identify barriers to student success, and recommend appropriate solutions or referrals.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, case notes, and documentation with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to utilize student information systems, customer relationship management (CRM) software, database applications, and other institutional technologies.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems, technologies, and digital communication platforms.
• Ability to coordinate events, workshops, orientations, outreach activities, and student engagement initiatives.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to interpret and apply institutional policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to collect, track, analyze, and report data to support student success and operational objectives.
• Ability to demonstrate cultural awareness, empathy, and professionalism when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Ability to support multiple campus locations and adjust priorities to meet changing operational and student service needs.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience working in a higher education environment supporting student success, enrollment management, advising, retention, or student engagement initiatives.
