| Provides supervision and instruction to students seeking a career as an EMT or paramedic, participates in program planning, and is responsible for design and implementation of the EMT training program for SOWELA, other LCTCS schools, and colleagues.
Responsible for teaching students through field learning, skills, laboratory, and in a class or hybrid class. Maintains accurate grade and attendance records. Maintains individual student progress data and ensures this is a part of the student’s permanent record. Adheres to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records. Be available to students via email, phone and/or in person conference.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks related to instruction, lab projects, and training. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Receives training or stays current in clinical training advances that promote student learning. |
