Adjunct Instructor - Biology	SOWELA	Lake Charles, LA
This position is responsible to teach college-level Biology lecture and/or lab courses, as well as preparing and delivering lectures, moderating classroom discussions, and administering and grading examinations. This position also maintains accurate grade and attendance records, adhering to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records. The position must be available to students via email, phone and/or in person conference. The position will receive training and is responsible to stay current in technological or pedagogical advances that promote student learning.

The Adjunct ESL Instructor will be responsible for helping students improve their basic English language skills, written and verbal, and improve math, reading comprehension, language, and computer skills so they can achieve their high school equivalency and/or industry-based credentials (IBC) to secure entry- level employment or advance in their current occupation. The Adjunct ESL Instructor will provide appropriate instruction for groups and individuals using materials, tools, equipment, and scenarios to meet students’ academic and work/career-related needs. The Adjunct ESL Instructor will work with students to determine potential barriers to their success in obtaining, retaining, and advancing their careers. The Adjunct ESL Instructor will also work with students to implement solutions that ensure their success.
