MVI Challenge Station-Automotive Technician	BRCC	Baton Rouge, LA
The Workforce MVI Challenge Station-Automotive Technician reports directly to the Dean of Technical Studies and Adult Education. The technician is responsible for testing vehicle emissions for residents in the five LDEQ service areas and will assist with testing procedures for motor vehicle inspection station personnel using the emissions inspection software. The technician will also be responsible for the day-to-day operation, including scheduling appointments, testing vehicles, reporting test outcomes and providing excellent customer service.

The primary duties of the Financial Aid Counselor include providing customer service and counseling of students and parents regarding financial assistance needed to attend SOWELA. Other primary duties include verification, assisting students with FAFSA completions, and coordinating the financial aid appeals process. This position will also need to practice professional judgment and making decisions to assist students with unique situations. A thorough knowledge is required of the various federal and state financial aid programs and the regulations governing the various programs and is responsible for assisting students and parents regarding financial aid concerns while maintaining compliance in all federal, state, and institutional programs.

The HR Generalist provides technical and administrative support and expertise on a broad range of HR topics, maintaining knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and SOWELA policies, processes, and resources. This position carries out responsibilities primarily in the areas of recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance.

The Counselor will report directly to the Director of Enrollment Management. The incumbent will be responsible for providing psychological and support services for students at BRCC experiencing mental health and psychosocial challenges. The Counselor will provide individual counseling, crisis intervention, outreach, and consultation to the BRCC community. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing comprehensive support and guidance to students with disabilities, ensuring equal access to educational opportunities, and fostering an inclusive campus environment. This role involves assessing student needs, developing individualized accommodations, and promoting awareness of accessibility resources.
