Summary of Position:    Indiana Wesleyan University and the DeVoe Division of Business is seeking applications from qualified individuals to apply for the position of full-time Business faculty. The DeVoe Division of Business is a Christ-centered academic community that provides students the opportunity for personal, professional and spiritual development in preparation for a life of service, applying sound business principles with wisdom and creativity. The vision of the DeVoe Division of Business is to prepare business professionals who are resilient and committed to meeting the needs of others in a Christ-like manner. The DeVoe mission and vision are evidenced by the interactions among the DeVoe faculty, staff and students and the relationships that are developed based on mutual respect and care.

The ideal candidate should show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ, full agreement with the Wesleyan-Arminian theology, and commitment to liberal arts learning and the integration of Christian faith and learning.

START DATE: Fall of 2024 pending funding.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage in teaching, student advising, and mentoring undergraduate majors on the residential Marion, Indiana campus
  • University and divisional committee work, along with assessment of academic programs. 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Individuals in possession of or pursing a doctorate in Business related field by August 2024

Experience

  • Candidates with practical experience in business and teaching experience in business-related courses, Foundations of Business, Business Ethics, Organizational Behavior, H.R. Management, Small Business Management, Strategic Management.
    International Business experience or teaching desired

Required Skills

  • Applicants should demonstrate the ability to combine engaged teaching with scholarly endeavors
