Job Title: Digital Content Creator

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Executive Director of The Imaginarium

Unit: IWU-Marion

Department: Religion-IWU Marion

Campus Location: Noggle Christian Ministries

Summary of Position:    The Digital Content Creator is responsible for shaping and enhancing the Imaginarium’s digital presence. In addition to overseeing podcasts, social media presence, and video content, this person will also manage user-submitted content, creating platforms to showcase the work of the Imaginarium as well as our constituents. The Digital Content Creator will also play a key role in supporting and highlighting the work of 250 grantees in the Strengthening Ministry with Children Coordination Program.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, film, and edit engaging video content that effectively communicates our mission and values across digital platforms
  • Collaborate with our Imaginarium team to develop creative ideas and strategies for video content 
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our video content 
  • Manage and organize a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials
  • Arrange playlists, create channels, thumbnails, add titles, descriptions, keywords, categories, and other metadata within the content management system 
  • Review user-submitted content, both raw footage, and edited videos, making recommendations for next steps and providing feedback and direction on edits 
  • Create and maintain platform for user-submitted content 
  • Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to edit videos and photos, add effects, and incorporate music and sound elements 
  • Maintain organized media libraries and archives to ensure easy access to assets for future use 
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and standards to ensure consistency and coherence across all visual content 
  • Assist the Executive Director in the planning of the Coordination Program Annual Gathering
  • Collaboration with other Endowment Coordination Program leaders/supporting and attending other Endowment events as needed
  • Oversee social media and website presence 
  • Participate in teaching and coaching at online and in-person gatherings 
  • Participate in marketing meetings with Executive Director and marketing consultants 
  • Participate in staff leadership retreats as well as initiative gatherings 
  • Attend IWU staff meetings 
  • This position requires some travel and evening hours

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Proven experience in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production
  • Strong portfolio showcasing work

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc)
  • Strong storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Passion for making a positive impact through creative storytelling
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and design
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment
