Job Title: Testing Support Specialist

Reporting Relationship: Coordinator for School Operations

Campus Location: Ott Hall of Sciences & Nursing

Summary of Position:    The Testing Support Specialist manages the daily operations of the computer lab and assists in supporting the office of pre-licensure nursing.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assist in the administration of online examinations/ATI for nursing students 
  • Supervise student workers and assist the Administrative Assistant with student schedule maintenance and training 
  • Act as a liaison between the Pre-licensure Division and the standardized testing company
  • Maintain computer software for testing lab. Software includes Nursing Computer Assisted Instruction programs, test banks, and user-specific programs 
  • Provide support for all pre-licensure nursing events (Spotlight Visit Day, Nurse Pinning, White Coat…)

Education

Bachelors Degree preferred

Experience

At least three (3) years of equivalent combination experience/education
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Access, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Skills

Advanced knowledge of web-based technology, hardware and software applications, and instructional applications
Adapts to changing technologies and procedures to accommodate and facilitate evolving department workflow
Ability to work independently; Self motivated
Accuracy and attention to detail
