Job Title: Graduate Assistant--Youth Ministry Events

Reporting Relationship: Director of Student Engagement

Unit: IWU - Marion

Department: School of Theology & Ministry

Campus Location: Noggle Christian Ministries - Marion, IN

Summary of Position:    Assists with communication and organization of programming for Youth Ministry Events. This includes Fusion, Never2Young, and Summer Ministry Teams.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains an updated record of partner churches, youth pastors, and ministry networks
  • Provides support for executing the communication strategy for Youth Ministry Events; including developing promotional materials and marketing through direct contacts, social media, and email 
  • Supports student leaders by providing resources, training opportunities, and ministry opportunities 
  • Collects financial documentation related to Summer Ministry Teams and Examen 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Bachelor's in ministry, Youth Ministry major preferred

Experience

  • One to two (1-2) years in youth ministry and/or event planning preferred

Required Skills

  • Presents themselves in a friendly and helpful manner to students, faculty, and guests
  • Performs administrative duties efficiently and with precision
  • Collaborates well with both adults and students
