Pediatric Endocrinology, Exercise Physiologist

The Division of Endocrinology & Diabetes in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University seeks an Exercise Physiologist with a focus on Diabetes and has a PhD degree to join the Division as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Non-Tenure Line (Research).

  • The major criterion for appointment for faculty in the Non-tenure Line (Research) is evidence of high-level performance as a researcher for whose special knowledge a programmatic need exists.

Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have a history of scholarly accomplishments including publications and grant funding.  Additional desired qualifications include a history of successful experience with a multi-disciplinary research team including Pediatric Endocrinologists and Pediatric Psychologists, experience with diabetes technology, and collaboration with multi-center research groups.  Leadership of national or international writing groups would be valued as would experience with translating research findings to Pediatric clinical care.  Clinical credentials such as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification would be desirable as would demonstrated experience as an educator although the primary focus of this position will be research. Presentation skills and advocacy for children and adolescents with diabetes are a desired quality of a candidate.

We expect the successful candidate to be a productive scholar as defined by research publications and research grants.  Collaboration with the pediatric diabetes research team will be expected and development of additional research collaborations in the future are a plus.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Assistant Professor: $196,000 - $214,000

Associate Professor: $226,000 - $250,000

 

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
