Main Purpose of the role

To support Poole Engineering and Production with Quality & Inspections to ensure right first time, on target costing, on time delivery and to support the Poole facility for ISO certification is aligned with all Company Policies and Documentation, Poole and Woodgate,(Quality, Health & Safety & Environmental).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide product tests and reporting, including full machine build sign off as required to support the engineering team.
  • Support testing and unit setup during PDI with engineering and assembly team.
  • Feedback information to the engineering and production teams to improve Right First Time projects.
  • Oversee all Continuous Improvement Initiatives such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean…
  • Parts and assembly inspections – Quality Inspections.
  • Maintain Calibration records for inspection devices & be responsible for the Inspection Room.
  • Monitor and Control PIN’s, Rectifications and Warranty activity related to Poole.
  • Short notice travel (UK or abroad) as required to support Service Engineers with installations and/or site issues with Poole supply equipment.
  • Establish & promote a professional, positive, supportive working relationship with all departments involved, including Quality Department and Health and Safety Departments in Woodgate.
  • Support Poole in preparation and maintaining all ISO Certifications for Internal and External Audits.
  • Support Poole Production with complying with Health & Safety requirements including Risk Assessments & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS).
  • Ensure Ishida manufactured equipment complies with relevant CE/UKCA legislation.
  • Reporting of Health & Safety and Environmental issues to the Operations Manager

 

What skills are we looking for?
The successful candidate must have a full understanding of relevant Health & Safety Regulations, full understanding of CE/UKCA legislation relevant to Ishida equipment, ISO Qualifications, proven experience in mechanical / electrical design, application or service experience within a relevant machine manufacturing environment and commissioning and site experience.

The ideal candidate must have excellent all-round communication skills and have the ability to communicate at all levels, excellent organisation skills, good at problem solving, have effective time management and have the ability to make decisions confidently.
