The Clinical Training Delivery Lead reports to the Learning & Development Operations Manager and is part of a wider team responsible for delivering a variety of clinical and non-clinical training products in line with HAAS TNA and DWP ad hoc requests. Training is facilitated using a combination of in-person, online, and virtual classroom delivery as required. A significant part of this role will include assuring the standards of training facilitated by clinical trainers and providing real-time feedback that informs improvement in the design and delivery of training products.
Accountabilities
· Lead, manage and develop the clinical training team, ensuring excellent opportunities for ongoing improvement.
· Use Ingeus/ DWP clinical training material to deliver training to non-clinicians and clinicians in line with EBM (Evidence Based Medicine) and support clinical trainers to facilitate delivery of all products to a high standard.
· Support new clinicians to the HAAS service to achieve the required training outcomes and identify early support requirements and assure that the same standards are achieved by clinical trainer colleagues.
· Support clinical trainers, existing staff and all new entrants through Clinical Practical Assessments in a supportive and professional way.
· Report back to all identified stakeholders on training outcomes and ensure that feedback is provided to trainees/ support functions within an agreed timescale.
· Ensure all written documentation is provided for feedback purposes to a high standard and on time.
· Proactively seek feedback and use this to continuously improve own performance and training delivery performance.
· Provide constructive feedback to trainees and signpost them to appropriate resources to improve training outcomes.
· Maintain own up to date knowledge of welfare matters.
· Provide input into Training Needs Analysis as requested.
· Maintain own personal training plan and undertake assessments to maintain ‘Approval’ from SoS (Secretary of State).
· Seek opportunities to develop own skills and be a key driver of continuous improvement through feedback, development and identification of opportunities for improvement.
Essential Criteria
· Sound working knowledge of PIP and/or WCA
· Qualified clinician who is registered with their respective professional body
· Have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience and a minimum of 2 years as a DWP approved assessor with current approval in at least one benefit strand and no restrictions to practice
Proven training delivery experience in an adult learning environment with knowledge of models and styles of learning
· Strong communication skills
· Excellent literacy skills and the ability to logically review and edit documentation to a professional standard.
· Have a proven record of relevant Continual Professional Development (CPD) and revalidation.
· Ability to take high level change/ training requirements and develop guidance to meet the needs of the HP within the HAAS setting, ensuring continuity of service and customer experience, in line with EBM (Evidence Based Medicine).
· Line management experience and experience of leading teams of L&D professionals with demonstrable experience of achieving results through others.
· Ability to build strong relationships and influence and manage key stakeholders
· Proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results
· Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
· Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
· Ability to manage own time and work to tight deadlines.
· An ability to draw on your experience as a clinical expert in your area and apply this to your role.
· General IT skills and ability to use software effectively.
