The primary objective of the Process Engineer role is to analyse, design, implement, and optimise business processes to enhance productivity and achieve strategic goals.

They will be responsible for managing the development, maintenance and approval of all HAAS business processes. Working with Process Owners and SMEs to update and adapt processes and procedures because of change initiatives or Continuous Improvement within the HAAS contract. They will also be responsible for reviews and maintenance on a regular basis, in line with the relevant internal governance process and for providing project support to the Change and CI Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough analyses of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
    • Use various tools and methodologies to document and map current processes, including flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, and process documentation.
  • Design and Redesign:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new and improved processes that align with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Develop detailed process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and business process models to guide implementation efforts.
  • Implementation:
    • Work closely with stakeholders to implement and roll out new processes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to daily operations.
    • Provide training and support to employees during the implementation phase.
  • Optimization:
    • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented processes to identify further areas for optimization.
    • Implement changes and improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Technology Integration:
    • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate technology solutions that support and enhance business processes.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and implement technological tools to streamline operations.
  • Change Management:
    • Facilitate change management processes to ensure that employees adapt successfully to new processes and technologies.
    • Communicate changes effectively and address concerns from team members.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and efficiency of business processes.
    • Generate regular reports to track and communicate process improvements and performance.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in business process engineering, process improvement, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Business Process Re-engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process issues and recommend solutions.
  • Experience in producing and maintaining project documentation.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Office 365 including Excel, with experience of PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint.
  • A strong customer focus and ‘can-do' culture, built around communication and awareness of customer expectations.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and effective time management.
  • Process Manager Application experience – specifically creation and publication of processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the HAAS contract, it’s implementation and the benefit streams that make up its delivery.
