Job Title: Head of Sales – Highways Electrical

Base Location: Field based in UK or Ireland

Salary: Circa  £75,000 / €90,000 depending on skills and experience, Car Allowance, Bonus. Private Healthcare  and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Could you be our next Head of Sales to join the team and drive this success forwards?

What will I be doing in this role? 

The Head of Sales for Highways Electrical (HE) will target the strategic opportunities (with individual annual revenue value to HE of >£1m) in order to deliver HE medium and long term growth and profitability.  Key to the success of this role will be successful relationships with relevant local authorities and associated partners in the pursuit of additional opportunities.

On a  typical day, you could expect to be;

  • Agree target local authorities with Director of HE and Sales & Marketing Director & Regional Directors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key influencers and decision makers within the local authorities.
  • Lead a team of 5 in HE Estimating and also support up to 20 colleagues who spend at  part of their time in business development work
  • Lead bids and estimating process for larger orders in HE (>£500k revenue)
  • Play overall co-ordinator role, as Opportunity Owner, in these £500k+ opportunities to ensure timely and compliant bids that adhere to the Enerveo Gate process and include relevant commercial and other approvals   
  • Deliver incremental new profitable revenue.  The last thing we need is an expensive facilitator who will watch new business generation; rather, the need is for a highly focused individual who will actively engage with potential new business opportunities and can turn these into revenue streams

What do I need to be successful in the role?

  • Experienced in successfully managing local authority relationships
  • Must be pro-active in developing potential customer relationships, including starting from scratch and gaining the right levels of access and engagement with targets
  • Skilled at senior level remote and face to face new business pitches, based on partnership
  • Sufficiently mobile to be prepared to spend several days a week travelling to see customers, as required by the targeting strategy  and its progress
  • Experience in the street lighting or associated sectors
  • Team player who can demonstrate previous achievement of results through collaborative working (internally and possibly through 3rd party partnerships)
  • We do need you to have a full UK or Irish Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations
