Job Title:  Streetworks Co-ordinator

Base Location: Slough

They will need to be in the Slough office 5 days a week for the initial period and then then will switch to hybrid 2/3 days at home

Salary: £29,957 -£39,569 depending on skills and experience 

Working Pattern: Full time, Temporary

What will I be doing in this role? 

In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful co-ordination and management of street works activities. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders including authorities, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain efficient working practices to deliver outstanding results. 

In a  typical day, you could expect to be;

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of street works activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations including NRSWA 1991.
  • Liaise with local authorities, contractors, Highways England and internal teams to obtain necessary permits and approvals for street works activities.
  • Monitor and track progress of ongoing street works projects, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Action the TTRO's which have to be responded to in 2 hours

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement effective project plans for street works activities.
  • Conduct site visits to assess and resolve any issues or challenges related to street works. They don’t need to be on the work site themselves.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all streets works activities, including permits, notifications, and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines throughout the street works process.

What do I need to be successful in the role?

  • Previous experience in the utilities industry, preferably in a street works coordination or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of street works legislation, regulations, and permit processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and street works management software.
