Base Location: Plymouth

Salary: Up to £43,594.20 depending on skills and experience and working hours 

Working Pattern: Full Time  45 Hour week

What will I be doing in this role? 

Enerveo carry out all aspects of electrical work including the installation and maintenance of private high voltage networks upto and including 33kV across the region.

As a Cable Jointer at Enerveo, you’ll be at the heart of keeping the power flowing across our network, supporting both planned and emergency works on HV and LV systems. This is a hands-on role, where your technical skills and safety-first mindset will make a real impact every day.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out jointing and cabling work on high and low voltage (HV/LV) electrical distribution networks

  • Conducting HV installations, maintenance, and routine LV switching independently, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with industry best practice

  • Interpreting and setting out from technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures

  • Supporting both pre-planned works and quick response activities to maintain service continuity for our customers

  • Inspecting, testing, and maintaining HV and LV cable systems to identify and resolve faults or potential issues

  • Keeping detailed and accurate records of all works, including test results, materials used, and any modifications made

  • Collaborating closely with Engineers, Project Managers, and other team members to deliver works on time and to specification

What do I need to be successful in the role?

  • We expect you will have qualified as a fitter or jointer and/or as an electrician preciously. 
  • A proven track record in construction, repair and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 33kV on DNO or private networks would be an advantage.
  • Being flexible to complete out of hours work and attend short notice works in the event of faults.
  • A high regard for safety, embedding yourself in our safety culture and adhering to guidelines in everything you do is a key priority.
  • It is an essential requirement you have a full UK driving license.

Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are;

  • Trailer towing experience
  • experience working with a DNO

Please note: This is a temporary position. Successful candidates will be onboarded and employed through our preferred recruitment agency partner. Initial contracts are for three months, with the possibility of extension or a permanent position, subject to business needs and candidate suitability.
