Job Title: Project Manager
Base Location: Slinfold, West Sussex.
Salary: £37,678 - £49,760 depending on skills and experience, plus a car allowance and annual bonus plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday – Friday - 37 hour week

Could you be our next Project Manager to join the team and drive this success forwards?
What will I be doing in this role?
We’re now looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Slinfold, West Sussex, working on a major long-term PFI contract in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of planned maintenance and projects across the West Sussex highways network.
In a typical week, you’ll be:
- Leading and supporting a team of direct staff and subcontractors
- Managing planned maintenance programmes (including private cable testing, Streetlighting repairs and upgrades, Structural Testing and traffic management)
- Interfacing with clients and stakeholders, ensuring high standards of service
- Programming works and meeting tight deadlines through solid planning
- Supporting the team with hands-on problem solving when needed
- Producing project and performance reports to share with internal and external stakeholders
What do I need to be successful?
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering infrastructure or civil engineering projects — highways electrical experience is ideal, but not essential.
You'll thrive in this role if you’re:
- Comfortable managing teams and leading by example
- Experienced in working to tight deadlines in a safety-critical environment
- Organised and proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities
- A good communicator who can confidently interact with clients and colleagues alike
- Confident in O365.
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience managing highways, civil or infrastructure projects
- An appreciation of health and safety legislation
- Full UK Driving Licence
Nice to haves (but not dealbreakers):
- SMSTS or equivalent
- Knowledge of highways legislation, permitting, and CDM
- Electrical experience or understanding of highways lighting
- First Aid and Manual Handling training
