- Permanent Part-Time (75 hrs per fortnight) based in Noranda, WA
- Morning Shifts 07:30am - 16:00pm & Afternoon Shifts 15:30pm-23:30pm including every second weekend
Rocky Bay are seeking a Lead Disability Support Worker to support people living with a disability to achieve their goals i.e. living in their own home, recreational pursuits, independent travel and social and community participation. As a Lead, you will also support the Team Leader to mentor and coach of the Disability Support Workers in your team.
Duties include:
- Provide personal care support to promote optimum health and well-being; Provide direct support to assist clients to access appointments, social and leisure pursuits;
- Work closely with families, professionals and other stakeholders in a person’s life taking on a ‘key-worker’ role;
- Work to meet the unique needs of each individual by following their individual plans and working towards their bigger life goals, assist them to capture their achievements along the way;
- Coach and mentor staff to ensure high quality, customer focus, safe and well organised operational services;
To be considered:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position within the Disability Sector
- Completed Certificate III in Disability or other relevant tertiary qualification
- Mentoring/coaching skills; Ability to problem solve - clearly and quickly
- The ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Time management skills and the ability to use your initiative
