About the role

As a part-time Youth Worker, you’ll provide trauma-informed care and support to children and young people in our Out of Home Care program. Your role is to help them heal, grow, and build a brighter future - and no two days are ever the same!

Duties

  • Provide day-to-day care and support for children and young people
  • Help with personal care, education, social activities, and independent living skills
  • Create a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment
  • Offer trauma-informed and positive behavior support when challenges arise

Shift times:

  • Must have flexibility to work across varied shifts between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including sleepover shifts.

Skills and experience

  • A Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child & Family, or Community Services (or willingness to enroll—we can connect you with government-funded training options!)
  • A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • An NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • A National Police Check (we’ll complete this for successful applicants)
  • A valid open driver’s license
