About the Role

The Foster Care Team Leader reports to the Foster Care and Permanency Programs Area Coordinator. This position provides leadership and oversight of casework services, carer support, and the Family Contact Worker team to ensure the needs of young people, families, and carers are met, while maintaining compliance with community expectations, state government requirements, and relevant legislation.

🫶 What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and manage foster care team performance
• Improve processes for carer support and casework
• Monitor and ensure compliance with case documentation
• Build internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Respond to incidents and oversee service contracts

💼 What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years in therapeutic or family-based care
• 3+ years in leadership within child/family services
• Proven supervision and reflective practice skills
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation
• Direct experience supporting complex young people
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence and probity clearances
