Be where influence meets impact.

Are you a hands-on WHS professional who thrives in the heart of operations? Do you enjoy building trust, coaching leaders, and turning risk into practical, people centred solutions?

Possability Group and Independence Australia Group are seeking an experienced WHS & Wellbeing Business Partner to play a pivotal role supporting our Disability Services Team. This is more than a compliance role — it’s a genuine business partnering opportunity where your judgement, influence and leadership truly matter.

About the role

As our WHS & Wellbeing Business Partner, you’ll embed yourself within an operational portfolio and become a trusted advisor to senior leaders. You’ll provide practical, on the ground guidance across work health & safety, wellbeing, incident management and risk, helping people and systems perform at their best.

You’ll work within a values‑driven social enterprise, contributing to safer workplaces while supporting services that make a real and meaningful difference in the community.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with senior leaders, managers and HSRs to embed safe, sustainable work practices across Disability services
  • Coach and influence leaders to strengthen consultation, communication and WHS capability
  • Proactively lead risk assessments and control strategies, translating risk into practical action
  • Support and oversee incident response and investigations, including notifiable incidents
  • Drive continuous improvement across WHS and wellbeing systems and practices
  • Act as a calm, pragmatic advisor in complex or sensitive matters, helping resolve issues early
  • Support emergency planning and continuity of care across operational services

What you’ll bring

  • A tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience partnering with senior leaders in a WHS role
  • Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and how it applies in real world environments (care or human services experience highly regarded)
  • Proven ability to influence, coach and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience leading or contributing to incident investigations and risk reviews
  • A balanced, pragmatic mindset — confident moving beyond “black and white” compliance to what genuinely works

What you’ll also need (or be willing to obtain)

  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

Why join us?

  • True business partner role with autonomy, trust and influence
  • Purpose led organisation committed to inclusion, dignity and wellbeing
  • Collaborative and supportive senior leadership environment
  • Salary packaging over $15,000, giving you more in your pocket
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • A culture that lives its values and backs its people

Ready to make a real impact?

If you’re looking for a WHS role where your voice is heard, your judgement is trusted, and your work genuinely matters, we’d love to hear from you.
