This is a varied admin role that will keep you active. Offering duties from reception, filing & collecting medical records from around the hospital

What you’ll be doing in this role

If you are looking for a role where you won’t be sitting at your desk all day, then this could be the role for you. In this role you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks within the medical record team, some of these do have a physical component to them. Responsibilities will include:

  • Reception duties
  • Responding to requests for information or supply of medical records
  • Liaising with various health care facilities and doctors' rooms
  • Retrieval of medical records from wards and filing
  • Destruction of medical records
  • Scanning of medical records

 

Who we’re looking for

  • You’ll have strong attention to detail with a systematic approach and past experience inputting information correctly into computer systems and following very strict processes.
  • You’ll have the demonstrated ability to proactively plan, prioritise and organise your work activities.
  • You’ll have the ability to follow instructions and retain information.
  • You’ll be able to adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • You’ll actively contribute to a culture of comradery and teamwork.
  • You’ll be collaborative, adaptable, work well within a team environment, and able to work independently.
  • You’ll be capable to meeting the inherent physical requirements of the role, which will require you to be walking or standing 50% of the day. For example: walking, while pushing a heavy trolley (collecting medical records from around the hospital) and then standing on a stool to file the records or at the photocopier to scan them.
