What you’ll be doing in this role

This role will join an existing team of three reporting to our supportive and hardworking Medical Workforce Manager. The team is friendly and work collaboratively to ensure quality and continuous improvement initiatives are always front of mind.

The purpose of this role is to offer administrative support to the Medical Services Department, who support the hospital’s Doctor workforce. This will include effective support with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, doctor accreditation & pre-start compliance checks, rostering, payroll and education. Sometimes working on the front desk, you will be our first contact for doctors, staff and visitors to our Medical Services Team.

This is a 3-day per week role, 8 hours per day, Mon, Wed, Fri – some flexibility may be given for the successful applicant if required.  

Who we are looking for

  • You’ll have previous administration clerical experience working in a busy hospital or healthcare setting.
  • You’ll ideally have experience with UKG software (Kronos), recruitment, rostering and payroll.
  • You’ll have a vast background in face-to-face customer service roles with a real passion for helping others.
  • You’ll have superior communication & interpersonal skills (both written and verbal), which includes excellent listening skills, as well as people engagement & negotiation skills.
  • You’ll have proficient skills in Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel (including financial calculations).
  • You’ll be flexible, a critical thinker, who has excellent problem-solving skills and who thrives on continuous improvement initiatives, always looking for better ways of working.
  • You’ll have full unrestricted Australian Work Rights, as we do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
