What you will be doing in this role
At Harrison Ward, we offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. Our 30-bed General Medical/Surgical ward specialises in long-term wound care, renal services, and general medical care. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering holistic, patient-centred care, while supporting both patients and their families throughout their hospital journey.
You’ll be joining a warm and close-knit team where collaboration and quality care are at the heart of everything we do. We understand that starting a new role can be both exciting and challenging, which is why we ensure you receive comprehensive on-the-floor training and ongoing support, including a dedicated team mentor to guide you through your transition with confidence.
Our Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is approachable, proactive, and values open communication. You’ll find an environment where your ideas and concerns are always heard, ensuring a supportive space for your professional growth.

Who we’re looking for
- A Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and at least two years of post-registration experience.
- Ideally, someone with surgical experience, but if you come from a medical background and have a strong desire to learn and grow, we’d love to hear from you too.
- A compassionate individual who demonstrates natural empathy and emotional intelligence in providing care.
- An excellent communicator who is comfortable engaging with patients, their families, and the team, both verbally and in writing.
- A flexible team player who is happy to work a full-time, rotating roster of 8-hour shifts.
- A candidate with full Australian working rights, ready to be part of our team.
