About the role

Register your interest to join our dedicated team in either a Part time or Casual Assistants in Nursing role, supporting patients at the San. These roles report directly to the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and are perfect for someone eager to grow in their nursing career.

In this role, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct care to patients, following their personalised care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes. Your responsibilities will involve effective communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring their dignity, confidentiality, and rights are respected at all times.

You will be an integral part of the team, assisting with a range of care activities while also receiving continuous support and training from senior team members to help you grow in your role.

Who We're Looking For:

  • You should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing program (Soon to finish 1st year or current 2nd year)
  • The ideal candidate will possess a high level of empathy and emotional intelligence, and be able to effectively manage time in a fast-paced environment
  • Your communication skills, both verbal and written, should be clear, professional, and compassionate
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with patients, their families, and colleagues.
  • You must be flexible, with the ability to work a rotating roster and step in to cover sick leave or annual leave as required
  • Must have full Australian working rights.

What to expect

Successful candidates will be required to complete a range of pre-employment checks and assessments. These vary and could include professional references, functional questionnaire, a national police check, working with children check, vaccination evidence, among others.
