What you will be doing in this role
As a full-time Registered Nurse within our 30-bed, state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, you will provide advanced acute nursing care to patients with complex and critical needs. ICU is a highly specialised environment, and you will work collaboratively within a close‑knit, multidisciplinary team of experienced and dedicated professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
You will be supported and encouraged by our Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) and Clinical Nurse Educators (CNE) to further develop your clinical expertise, advance your skills and continue your professional learning.
This is a fast‑paced and dynamic unit, managing a diverse and complex caseload while supporting a busy Emergency Department, 20 Operating Theatres, and both medical and surgical wards.
Who we’re looking for
- Must have current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years post registration experience with critical care setting
- Postgraduate qualifications or current enrolment in Critical Care or Intensive Care Nursing (desirable)
- Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond effectively in rapidly changing situations
- Exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience in professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues
