The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the School of Science as Manager, External Engagement, a new and pivotal role in leading the external engagement initiatives in the School of Science to achieve its priorities in education and research. This role is a key point of driving the implementation of future student recruitment and alumni relations strategies, programs and initiatives aligned with the School and University’s strategic objectives. The External Engagement Manager works across strategic and tactical forms of engagement and communication, including developing strategies to build awareness and measure results, as well as contributing in the delivery of the School of Science’s industry and government partner engagement and research business development.
Essential to this role is substantial experience in communications and engagement strategy and operations, as well excels in building and maintaining strong relationships across diverse levels and cultures, fostering collaboration within and outside the organisation. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including capability of articulating ideas clearly both in writing and verbally are required to be successful in this role in order to interact with, and gain buy-in from a variety of stakeholders.
