The Opportunity

The Research Fellow will play a pivotal role in advancing the research agenda of the CLARS Malaysia Hub, specifically for the Contract Law Review and Reform Project funded by the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister's Department (BHEUU). This position focuses on conducting high-quality, impactful research in commercial law and regulatory studies, with a particular emphasis on reviewing and reforming Malaysia's contract law. The appointed individual will work closely with Associate Professor Dr. Adnan Trakic's research team to contribute to the development of Malaysia’s contract law and the production of world-class publications. The role requires active collaboration with academic and industry stakeholders, contributing to policy recommendations and supporting the Hub’s mission to assist governments, industries, and other relevant stakeholders. This position is essential to enhancing Monash University’s standing as a leader in legal scholarship and its commitment to fostering positive societal change through rigorous, evidence-based research and engagement.
