The Opportunity
Under the routine direction, the Technical Officer is responsible to provide a variety of professional and high-quality technical services to support the laboratory operations of the School of Science. The incumbent applies theoretical and technical knowledge to manage the delivery of a range of technical services to support academic staff with their research and teaching needs, ensuring their access to equipment, services and expertise. This includes overseeing and undertaking experiments preparation, Occupational Health and Safety inspection and monitoring of delivery, demonstrating laboratory practical while ensuring a compliant and safe operating environment.
Reporting Line: The position reports to the Manager or Principal Technical Officer under routine supervision.
