The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance is responsible for embedding and operationalising the Monash Group Risk Management Framework (GRMF) at Monash University Malaysia (MUM), in alignment with the University’s broader strategic and regulatory expectations. This position plays a critical role in translating and implementing Group-wide risk and compliance management, internal audit, and business continuity strategies to suit the local context. The role leads MUM’s risk and compliance operations and provides expert strategic, operational and project-level advice across all areas of the University’s activities. The Senior Manager provides regulatory guidance and oversight, ensures effective monitoring and escalation of compliance matters, and leads the development of frameworks, procedures and training to support proactive and effective risk and compliance management. In addition, the Senior Manager has oversight of Internal Audit coordination and the Business Continuity Management (BCM) function for the campus — ensuring the integration of these key assurance functions into the University's broader governance and risk ecosystem.
