The Opportunity
A Level E academic is expected to provide outstanding academic leadership and make sustained, internationally recognised contributions to teaching, research, professional practice, and service within the discipline, the School, the University, and the broader academic and professional community. The Professor is expected to lead strategic initiatives that shape the direction of the discipline, foster excellence in education and research, mentor academic staff, and enhance the University's national and international reputation.
The Professor will provide strategic leadership in the development, delivery, and continuous enhancement of undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programs in Accounting. The successful candidate is expected to have an internationally recognised record of excellence in teaching, curriculum innovation, and pedagogical leadership. The Professor will also lead a
high-impact research program with a sustained record of internationally recognised publications, competitive research funding, higher degree research supervision, and meaningful engagement with industry, the profession, and government. The role is expected to strengthen the School's research profile, drive interdisciplinary collaboration, contribute to academic governance and strategic
planning, and foster partnerships that enhance the University's impact and reputation.
