You will play a key role in analysing ocean-based energy and marine industry systems, providing critical insights that shape the future of sustainable energy and marine policies in Southeast Asia.

In this role, you will lead research on ocean climate policy, renewable energy, and the marine industry, using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. You will provide specialist advice to senior management, support the implementation of SEAFOAM’s work plans, and contribute to program monitoring and evaluation activities. You will also foster partnerships with research institutes and academia to expand SEAFOAM’s network and ensure the research’s broader impact.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in marine science, environmental science, energy, or public policy, combined with extensive experience in environmental and governance research. You should be skilled in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, with a strong understanding of data collection techniques, particularly in Indonesia. The role requires exceptional writing skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, a creative approach to solving complex problems, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting critical deadlines.
