The Opportunity
Climateworks Centre Indonesia is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of high-impact SEAFOAM-funded projects, with a strong focus on influencing government policy and strengthening local capacity for ocean-climate action. Reporting to the Program Impact Manager – Ocean, the role requires close collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government, academia, and civil society, to deliver systemic change and meaningful emissions reductions aligned with Indonesia’s climate goals.
In this role you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of SEAFOAM projects, from initial scoping to final evaluation, ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic objectives. You will provide expert insights on Indonesia’s ocean-climate policy landscape, adapt to evolving political contexts, and proactively offer advice to senior leadership. Responsibilities also extend to building strong stakeholder relationships, developing policy-aligned project outputs, and producing impactful research, reports, and presentations. You will also play an active role in securing new funding opportunities, enhancing regional cooperation, and contributing to Climateworks’ broader program development, while monitoring project risks and supporting continuous improvement across initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will have deep expertise in marine affairs, ocean policy and sustainable development, alongside a strong track record in managing complex projects from inception to delivery. Your ability to influence policy, navigate Indonesia’s ocean governance landscape, and foster strategic partnerships will be key. You will bring exceptional communication skills, both written and interpersonal, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
