The Opportunity for Academics
Monash University Indonesia is seeking an exceptional academic for the position of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor. You will contribute to our growing international campus by delivering high-impact research and innovative education.
The Master of Sustainability program at Monash University, Indonesia, is designed to equip students with industry-relevant knowledge and skills to address the sustainability challenges faced by Indonesia, both in private and government sectors. As the nation rapidly transforms, there is a growing need for skilled professionals who can deliver practical solutions to issues related to ESG and the SDGs such as reducing emissions and waste, improving air quality, developing renewable energy, and combating deforestation and flooding.
This position will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, including the preparation and coordination of lectures, tutorials, and learning materials. You will actively engage in curriculum design and educational innovation, while also supervising honours and postgraduate research students. In this role, you will contribute to our growing international campus by delivering high-impact research and innovative education that addresses local and global sustainability challenges.
A key focus will be advancing impactful research, publishing in top-tier journals, securing external research funding, and building collaborative networks. You will also play a significant role in academic leadership, committee work, and broader professional engagement activities, fostering a collegial and dynamic academic environment.
To be successful in this role you will have a doctorate in a relevant discipline and a proven track record in impactful, peer-reviewed research. You will bring a strong publication record, experience in securing research grants, and demonstrated success in supervising research students. Your ability to lead projects, engage students, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to academic governance will be essential. A commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and academic service, along with an interest in driving policies, projects, and practices that promote environmental, social, and economic sustainability, will set you apart.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
