The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations and Facilities Manager the focus of this role will be to provide frontline ICT services to the staff and students of Monash University in conjunction with the University IT Service Desk and other elements of eSolutions.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing telephone, desk side and backend technical support regarding ICT issues. You will provide an effective interface between users, service providers and eSolutions in Australia, supplying all necessary diagnostic information according to procedures to resolve all issues. Furthermore, you will provide the business with a professional service by ensuring requests are regularly updated and realistic resolution times are provided, whilst also providing specialist advice and support in one or more relevant areas to customers and team members. You will also contribute to the relevant specialist body(s) of knowledge to ensure consistent practices and advice to all customers.
To be successful in this role you will have an IT degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience more than 2 years; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You will bring a strong technical knowledge of desktop hardware, operating systems (Windows and Mac OS) as well as experience supporting common software packages used in Tertiary institutions.
