Are you ready to do something that truly matters?

At C&K, our purpose is to make a positive impact on children’s lives. It’s what we’ve been doing for more than 115 years. Through evidence-based thinking, hard work and true compassion, we’ve built a trusted reputation as Queensland’s leading provider of early childhood education.

But times are changing, and so are we. And although we’re passionate believers that children come first, we know our people must come first, too.

Join us and find a better way with C&K - for children, for you, for always.

In this newly created role, the Early Childhood Behaviour Coaches will be supporting our Kindergartens across Queensland in a fixed term contract in Term 4 2024. In this shoulder-to-shoulder position, the Early Childhood Behaviour Coach will provide specialist support for teachers and educators in positive behaviour guidance for children experiencing challenges within the early childhood setting.

You’ll help us shape the future of children in our care by:

  • Working closely with educators to observe and assess children's behavior, identifying areas needing support, developing and implementing proactive, child-centered behavior guidance strategies and individual Behaviour Support Plans.

  • Facilitating professional learning conversations and modelling positive guidance approaches with Teachers and Educators ensuring they are supported to effectively engage with families to promote consistency between the home and early learning environments.

  • Encouraging a positive and inclusive environment by guiding educators to promote emotional wellbeing and positive peer interactions through a safe and supportive learning environment.

  • Ensure behaviour guidance practices and support provided to Teachers/Educators are in line with C&K policies and procedures, Education and Care National Law and Regulations (National Law and Regulations), the EYLF and NQS.

What you’ll bring

With proven experience in early childhood education, with a focus on behaviour management and positive behaviour support, you will have sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant Australian child protection regulations.

Empathetic and culturally aware with a commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural safety, you will foster inclusion and equity in the learning environment.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you will either have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

  • Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (completed within three months or willing to obtain).

Find your Better Way

Every C&K career helps children belong and grow. We want the same for you and joining C&K means impacting a child’s life journey for the time they spend with us and long after they leave.  But, so much of what we do depends on you.

  • Enjoy a better work-life balance with the option to work from home two days a week, plus one allocated day off each month and flexible start and finish times.
