Senior Manager (Quality Audit)

The Job

  • Examine contract documents, consultants’ deliverables, contractors’ submissions and other operational and cost-related records; interview staff to understand actual practices. Identify if there are any anomalies, deficiencies or areas for improvement in one or across different projects.
  • Carry out independent audits to identify shortcomings in the internal controls and risk management; and to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyse results of the audit findings, draw conclusions and recommend for improvements.
  • Prepare report for findings and recommendations; and present to the management where appropriate.
  • Review the internal control and cost management systems; assist in formulation of technical audit plans and cost review plans across housing projects and maintenance works.
  • Discuss with the auditee on audit findings and agree on the improvement actions.

 

The Person

  • A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Surveying or related disciplines.
  • Registered Professional Architect / Engineer / Surveyor or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years’ post qualification experience in planning, design and project management in large scale residential development projects.
  • Work experience in property developers and design consulting firms.
  • Sound knowledge of building ordinances, technical and professional practices.
  • Well versed with current property market and construction industry.
  • Good problem solving, analytical, communication and report writing skills.
  • Positive attitude, independent but able to work with all level of staff.
  • ISO9000, ISO14000 and management system audit skills.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; BIM familiarity is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent, self-driven and result-oriented.
  • Strong mindset in the market trend of housing development and building maintenance.
  • Know-how of professional practices in project and cost management.
  • Management system audit skills.
