Senior Officer (Maintenance - Building)

The Job

  • Plan and implement building maintenance programs to ensure structural integrity, safety, and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building structures and facilities to identify defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage repair and renovation works, including preparing scope of work, obtaining quotations, and supervising contractors.
  • Monitor maintenance budgets and control costs within approved limits.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve technical issues and deliver timely maintenance solutions.
  • Prepare reports and documentation on maintenance activities, project progress, and budget utilization.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize disruption and ensure safety.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and maintain an updated list of qualified service providers.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and extend asset life cycles.

The Person

  • Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., HKIS, HKIE) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in building maintenance, repair, and renovation works.
  • Hands-on experience in managing contractors and supervising site works.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction methods, materials, and statutory requirements.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM is a plus
  • Good project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
