Manager (Social & Elderly Wellness – New Projects)

The Job

  • Act as Team Leader of New Projects Team to facilitate the planning and development of elderly housing and care-related projects, including The Tanner Hill (TTH), Senior Citizen Residences Scheme (SCRS), Residential Care Homes for the Elderly (RCHEs) and other Social & Elderly Wellness (SEW) initiatives.
  • Partner with internal users, operators, consultants and government authorities to translate operational and service requirements into project solutions.
  • Promote Ageing-in-Place / IG designs, accessibility and elderly-friendly design principles in project planning and implementation.
  • Manage renovation, upgrading, maintenance improvement and capital works projects for SEW facilities.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle of renovation/improvement works, including tendering, procurement, contract administration, implementation, testing and handover as well as monitoring project progress, budgets, quality, risks and contractor performance to ensure successful delivery and compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
  • Provide professional advice on builder/building services systems and recommend improvement initiatives to enhance safety, operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Supervise staff and prepare management reports, project updates and technical recommendations for management review.

 

The Person

  • Degree holder in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or related disciplines.
  • Corporate membership of a recognised professional institution (e.g. HKIE or equivalent) is preferred. Possession of RPE qualification will be considered a distinct advantage but is not a mandatory requirement.
  • At least 8-10 years' relevant experience in building services, facilities management, project management or capital works projects.
  • Proven experience in renovation, upgrading, maintenance improvement works, contract administration, tendering and procurement.
  • Experience in elderly care, healthcare, residential care facilities, social service or community development projects is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of building services systems, statutory requirements, facilities maintenance and contract management practices as well as familiarisation of BFA designs.
  • Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
