About the role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join our finance team based in our Sydney Branch. Reporting to the Head of Controlling, this role is responsible for providing the NSW & ACT branches with effective operational reporting, analysis and controls to ensure the financial integrity of the business.

This position requires a significant amount of interaction with key stakeholders across the business, so relationship building and effective communication is a must.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing month end processes from start to finish
  • Monthly analysis and reporting to Branch Management and Head Office
  • Forecasting and budgeting controls for the branches
  • Guidance to local team in relation to monthly tasks & processes
  • Driving debtor collection with credit collection team

Role Requirements

  • Agile business partnering
  • Be able to effectively communicate with key stakeholders across the business
  • Qualifications in Business or Accounting/Finance or related discipline
  • CPA preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar Financial controller / Management accountancy role within the lift, construction, services or associated industries
  • Strong presentation and negotiation / influencing skills / multi-dimensional thinking
  • Outstanding customer service etiquette
  • Excellent time management, planning and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
